Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman is an American gymnast, who was an athlete and captain for the Fierce Five team in 2012 and 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In 2012, she was awarded gold medals in team competitions as well as the floor exercise. On the balance beam, Raisman received a bronze. It made her the first American gymnast in the Olympics to win the most medals. In 2016, the Olympics brought her the gold medal in the team event, earning her and Gabby the distinction as the first Americans to ever win consecutive team golds. The silver medals she won came from the floor-based individual and all-around events. Three years had passed between her last appearance in competition gymnastics. In addition she was part of two gold-winning American gymnastics squads. Her favorite event is the floor exercise. She started learning gymnastics when she was two years older. Aly has a strong support for her favorite charity, the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to honor her mother who passed away from cancer. Aly plans on pursuing an occupation in fashion and is looking to increase her line of signature leotards as well as socks in the future. She's writing a book called Fierce to be published later this year.
